Bill Clinton back in Hospital for cardiac surgery
New York – Former U.S. president Bill Clinton sudden cardiac surgery after complaining of pain in the chest. After surgery, the husband of Minister of Foreign Affairs (Foreign Minister) Hillary Clinton was in good condition.
This was conveyed by Clinton adviser Douglas Band in statesmen as reported by AFP news agency on Friday (12/2/2010).
Clinton had surgery at the Columbia Campus of the New York Presbyterian Hospital. 63-year-old man had been undergoing stent (tube-shaped wire to open the blood vessels).
“After the heart was examined by experts, the installation procedure he underwent two stent in one of the blood vessels to the heart,” Band said in a statement.
Appended Band, Clinton remains vibrant. “And will continue to focus on foundation work and relief efforts and long-term recovery of Haiti,” said Band.
A problem experienced by Clinton’s heart is nothing new for the man who became the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Haiti’s. In the year 2004 in the same hospital, Clinton’s also bypass surgery of blood vessels to the heart. A few months later he returned a second surgery because of complications.
