Conestoga College Overview
Founded in 1967 as one of the Ontario Government Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology (Institutes of Technology and Applied Arts from the Ontario government) Conestoga College is located in Canada’s Technology Triangle, the area comprising the cities of Kitchener, Waterloo , Cambridge and Guelph. These cities, with a combined population of 500,000, form a growing and dynamic community in which advanced technology is complemented by an advanced manufacturing facilities and a vibrant service industry.
Conestoga College is a medium sized school, which provides graduates with a duration of two to three years, as well as certificates of courses a year. It has about 4,500 full-time students and 30,000 part-time, have been enrolled in one of the more than sixty-oriented programs on different skills and careers. Conestoga College has a very respectable reputation for academic excellence and is regarded as one of the leading institutes in Ontario and Canada, Its programs in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Nursing, Early Childhood Education early technology and materials management in mechanical engineering, civil, electronics (computers) and electrical are universally recognized and our graduates enjoy a high demand from local and international companies. Schools in Canada Overview of the Institute. With a focus on technology, trade and economy, the Conestoga graduates are able to take a practical approach to their education through cooperative education, interactive teaching and field research.
Conestoga also has a variety of program options: full-time degree, diploma and certificate programs, part-time programs, graduate studies, teaching, and preparatory studies, online courses, part-time evening and weekend courses and customized training for business and industry.
- 102 full-time programs, 27 teaching-related programs, 5 degrees is applied, 4 collaborative degrees, 29 post-graduate certificates and 96 part-time programs

To be accepted at Conestoga College is necessary to satisfy the prerequisites for the curriculum chosen, usually the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12) (certificate of graduation from high school) or equivalent. In the case that English is not the student’s native language, it must show evidence of a TOEFL score of 550 (with a TWE of 4.5) when less or a document showing a skill level equivalent to the English language.
If the student does not have the ability ESL / English language to enter directly into a program of full-time study, the student may choose to enter the English curriculum of Conestoga. This program is designed to offer the possibility of improving the English skills necessary to enter the course of study chosen by the student at the Institute.
Conestoga is located in one of the most beautiful natural areas of Ontario, which has a wonderful mix of forests, rolling hills, rugged nature and scenic farmland. The main campus of 144 acres lush, is located 120 kilometers west of Toronto and 150 kilometers from Niagara Falls and the border with the United States.
This region has become a very attractive place for visitors, offering great shopping, dining and excellent restaurants, colorful festivals and fairs, as well as a Germanic heritage. During the summer and autumn are the Elora Music Festival, the theater at the famed Shakespearean Festival in Stratford, bagpipes resounding in the Cambridge Highland Games (Scottish highland games), fun and food for the Oktoberfest festival in Kitchener / Waterloo and the farmers’ market in St. Jacobs, always attractive. There are art galleries, museums and musical and theatrical entertainment at the Centre in the Square in Kitchener. Winter brings skiing, ice skating, hockey and other outdoor sports.
