chrome bookRiding the dematerialization, the Chromebook to revolutionize the computing market by offering a 100% Cloud offers. The concept of host data and applications on the Internet is attractive, but many point the finger at the problems associated with the absence of off-line functions. The Chromebook Is the computer of the future? We tested the unit for a few days to try to answer this question.

First recall the interests of the Cloud, which is entirely based on Chromebook. The latter is hardly an interface allowing you to access your files stored online. Therefore, the material power is no longer a factor and you can access your stored data from any computer simply by logging into your storage space (your Cloud so). It remains to be confidence in the reliability of Google‘s servers (data loss, hacking, etc.). And to be sure of his connection!

Let’s start with its technical characteristics:

  • 12.1-inch screen with 1280 x 800 with LED backlight
  • Processor: Intel Atom N570 1.6GHz dual-core
  • Chipset: Intel GMA 3150
  • 2 GB RAM
  • Storage: 16 GB SSD
  • 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and 3G
