New UOP Student and Faculty Portal
University of Phoenix was founded in 1976 and become the nation’s largest private and accredited university. Beside the real campus, UOP also provide an Online Degree programs, where the students are come from many backgrounds, such us: hard working wives, mothers, fathers, grandparents, executives, soldiers, nurse and many more.
As one of the famous University that provides online degree programs, the UOP or University of Phoenix is using a portal site for their online student to communicate. This portal was known as the UOP “eCampus“.
At the first time, the eCampus was called as University of Phoenix Student and Faculty Web, but on June 30th 2009, all students and faculty was migrated to the new eCampus site. Quoted from the old eCampus announcement:
On June 30th, all students and faculty will be migrating to the new eCampus site. The new site integrates all related tools and services into convenient categories. We hope you will agree that the new site design will make accessing all of the site options more intuitive and easier to use. You can still access the old site interface from the lower right-hand side of the new eCampus login page, simply click “Link to old eCampus site – UOPX”.

New eCampus Features:
The main reason why the old eCampus has to migrate to the new eCampus site is because; on the new eCampus site UOP has improving some features that the old one doesn’t have. The new eCampus was called “UOP Student and Faculty Portal“. The new features are:

Library Landing Page
The library landing page presents two new additions, the learning team toolkit and the useful links sections to give you quick access to information.
University Library
Now the University Library search results opens in a new window and UOP added a useful links section.
eBook
The useful links section has been added to the ebook collection page to make it easier to navigate to popular content. The ebook collection is available for students and faculty of University of Phoenix.
Center for Writing Excellence
UOP have added the useful links section to the Center for Writing Excellence.
New Account Features:
Account Landing Page
UOP reorganized the account landing page to make it easier and faster to find what you’re looking for.
New Program Features:
Program Landing Page
UOP have reorganized this page and added 3 new panels: workshops, program contacts, and partner offers.
Commencement Homepage
This page has newly added sections on the right to give you commencement schedule, registration, and regalia (cap & gown) ordering information.

UOP have added some helpful information about registration ineligibility.
National Testing Programs
Now you have more information about the national testing programs.
Schedule and Grades
This page has been enhanced to provide you with better information about your program including the program overview, course schedule, links to publication and program contacts.
New Classroom Features:
Discussion
UOP made several small enhancements including a link to launch discussion in a new window, assignments/feedback forum header, and the useful links section.
Discussion Messages
UOP have improved the confirmation messages for your postings and added a person icon to all your messages in the thread view.
Attaching Document
UOP have introduced a single click attachment to attach your documents to a message in discussion.
New Faculty Features:
Faculty Landing Page
The faculty tab has been rearranged to provide fast access to the information you need. UOP have included the new faculty personal website, workshops, and about University of Phoenix sections.
Approved Courses
UOP changed this section to include helpful FAQs and improved the way you view materials for your approved courses.
Content Area Request (CAR) Submission
The CAR submission page has been enhanced to include a link back to the CAR main page.
