Saudi Arabia will block BlackBerry soon

After announcing about blocking a number of features for BlackBerry services, Saudi Arabia‘s telecommunications regulatory has finally decided to block that service on Friday, August 6, 2010. Blocking it will last until the mobile phone service meets all the requirements.

According to the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), the ban will last until the third largest mobile phone operator in the country meet the requirements that have been requested.
“Saudi Telecom Co., Mobily and Zain Saudi Arabia are required to immediately halt BlackBerry service for businesses and individuals began August 6,” said the announcement conveyed CITC as quoted from Reuters on Thursday (08/05/2010).
