Saudi Arabia – Media reported the Blackberry services in Saudi Arabia have been fixed.

The Government of Saudi Arabia imposed a ban on cell phone used to send and receive messages from the day- Friday (08/06).

Locals reported that the Blackberry mobile phones could not function for four hours.

Blackberry maker, RIM, is reported to have found a solution that could satisfy the authorities of Saudi Arabia who says this phone to threaten national security.

These complaints arise because the Blackberry provides services to send messages in the language of your password so that communication between the mobile phone can not be monitored.

Blackberry Service goes back to normal in all regions of this country,” says Ben Thompson, the BBC correspondent in the Middle East.

But ultimately this is actually raises new questions. If RIM provides access to Saudi Arabia in the security code the company, other countries in the region would be asking the same thing.

United Arab Emirates, which has issued a threat to impose a similar ban in October, together with Algeria and India must expect similar treatment. ”

Saudi Arabian businessman Nazar Musa said this problem attracted the attention of local residents.

A lot of discussion and debate about this blackberry problem,” he told to BBC News.

Obviously as a regional business center and with relationships and networks around the world, the use of the Blackberry service is very important.”

He added that previously appeared “concerns” in the chat rooms on the internet on the desire of the authorities can monitor the data messages sent via Blackberry.

In a written statement RIM spokesman said the device was deliberately designed to prevent other people can read the data messages sent via mobile phones of their products that are stored in a server in Canada.

RIM is not able to fulfill every request a copy of the message in code key users, as RIM or the wireless network operator or third party did not have a copy of that key.”
