Fidel Castro speech in Cuba parliament

CUBA – Former Cuban leader, Fidel Castro, spoke for the first time in front of the parliament since he resigned for health reasons four years ago.

The members of the Cuban national assembly with a rousing applause when Castro appeared in military uniform who became his trademark style.

Castro, 83 years old, known for a very long time glad to address this short speech with the main theme of the threat of nuclear war.

Succeeded by Fidel Castro as president who is also his brother, Raul, was present in the parliament.

Castro recently accused the United States plans to attack Iran and North Korea.

World nuclear war “is almost unavoidable,” Castro wrote this week.

Although Fidel Castro’s health problems still serves First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba.

In the past month Castro became increasingly active in public as being interviewed on television and speak in front of various groups.

Observers monitor the body language between Fidel and Raul Castro closely, says the BBC‘s Michael Voss in Havana.

But Cuban Culture Minister Abel Prieto told the BBC this does not mean that Fidel Castro will be back into the government.

He just wants to “make glad the people of Cuba“, added Prieto.
