An Apple Manager Corrupting $ 1 Million from Suppliers

An Apple Inc.  manager has pleaded guilty to several crimes. One of them is Corrupting from several suppliers including the iPhone and iPod accessories in Asia.  Who is he? Reported from Reuters, on Sunday (8/15/2010), the defendant is a Global Supply Manager Apple named Paul Shin Devine.

In a trial in California, bribes Devine has charged with receiving $ 1 million from a number of suppliers for the iPhone and iPod accessories in Asia. He is also charged with fraud and money laundering.

Apple also filed a complaint on Devine by such actions. Devine is said to have been doing it for several years.  One of them, he steals important documents from Apple and leaked it to the supplier. This makes it easy to negotiate when making contract suppliers to Apple.

Devine is not alone in doing the action. Andrew Ang from Singapore since become involved in this case and subjected to similar charges.

“Apple is committed to the highest ethical standards in business. We’re not going to accept dishonest behavior within or outside our company,” said Steve Dowling, a spokesman for Apple, about this.
